The Release Valve | New Richmond, Wisconsin A family of four inahbited this tiny little earth sheltered home. One of the family's sons was sleeping in a corner of the living room. Stuff of life was piling up and an intervention was necessary. With a very small budget, we looked for the house's pressure point and made one deliberate move. The result was a two story addition containing a living room and master suite. This allow everyone to play musical bedrooms and the existing living room was able to be converted to an office and library. Recycled religious relics, such as a stained glass window and church pew, serve as every day reminders of their ethical foundation. |
