The Modern Farm | Lakeville, Minnesota
On a tight budget and a view across the Minnesota farm landscape, the design of this home was approached with a simple principle; that the ideals of Modernism and the practicalities of Agrarian construction have more in common than not. The home employs the most conventional of construction techniques and uses only materials that can be found at any local lumber yard or farm store. Cladding of walls and roofs are galvanized, ribbed steel. Windows and doors are designed in collaboration with a small, local glass supplier.
